We stopped at a hillside lookout point and while there my son-in-law spotted 2 male lions far off in the distance. A mad dash into the car and off in pursuit, but they were gone by the time we found their tracks. We headed to a nearby watering hole,                                                                                                                               arriving just in time to see the last of what was

apparently a pride of about 10 lions that had been

                                                                                                                      quenching their thirsts.

Another early day to get into the reserve to catch the sunrise, and we were well rewarded! The mist on the water added to the magnificent panorama. Too many choices, so I photographed them all! Heading back to where we had seen the cheetah the day before, we were not disappointed – they were still there, although more restful in the early morning.

It was fast becoming time to                                                      quench our own thirsts and satisfy rumbling tummies, so we headed back to the camp, coming across a herd of elephant enroute.

Our last day in the lodge, so the morning was taken up with packing the car and checking out. A Crested Barbet made short work of the fruit we had left over. We took a short drive into the reserve, and stopped in at the local shop for ice-creams. The resident warthogs kept us amused with their antics around the watering hole. We returnd to the watering hole where we had sen the lion the previous day, but there wasn’t much to be seen,

and as all good things do, our holiday had come to an end, it was time to head home. A fabulous time away with loved ones.
