"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln

Each day I had a 2 hour break, where the family would stay with the lady I was caring for, and I would do my own thing. Naturally that meant camera, jacket, walking shoes and I was away!

I explored the area within easy walking distance from the home I was staying in,   whether down the narrow lanes between houses to the local shops, or across the park where children played and dogs ran free, photographing as much as possible.

There was also much to peak my interest within the surrounds of the beautiful home I stayed in, without intruding on the privacy of the residents.

A home with as much divine character as its owner.

Sunsets (when we had them) from my bedroom window, through condensation, proved to be more than interesting, as did the shadows cast by the soft evening light on the bedroom walls.

On one particularly frosty morning, the ice made for interesting patterns on the conservatory roof.
