Whilst out walking one day, I found a lovely ‘country park’, and spent more than a few hours there, on a couple of my walkabouts, taking in the silence of being alone in the woods – giving the phrase me-time a whole new meaning. Jubilee Country Park certainly is a beautiful area to go walking in.

Residents walk their dogs in the park aswell and I                                                                  watched with a smile as balls were thrown by dutiful masters; chased through                                                                    puddles and over wet grass by four-legged friends; brought back willingly, only to be thrown in a different direction and the energetic mutts could happily go chasing off again, expending all their pent up energy.

There were two dogs that got me very emotional, as they looked just like my Max and Paul’s Babe, both of whom have only been in pet heaven for just over a year now, but the spot in my heart that they held           in my heart is still very empty.

I could have watched for hours as

the happy dogs ran with the gay

abandon of contented pets.
