The Nylsvley area is known as a birders paradise, and as any birder/photographer knows, a lot of patience is required when photographing birds.

When our feathered friends are in plentiful supply, cameras work harder than ever!A first time visit for both Paul & I in this area, it landed up being somewhat of a disappointment, as, due to the severe lack of rain, the area is incredibly dry and where there is no water, there are very few birds!

We spotted a few lilac breasted rollers, some European bee-eaters, Giraffe and Tsessebe.

A planned two day stay became an overnighter and then it was homeward bound.
