On the way out of Llangollen, we stopped near a small alleyway that lead all the way down to the banks of the River Dee (Known in the Welsh language as Afon Dyfrdwy).

I walked to water level and got some great views of the river as it rushed along its winding way. The River Dee starts off in the mountains of Snowdonia, running through Wales (and forming part of the border between Wales and England) to Chester and onto an estuary between Wales and the Wirral Peninsula where it discharges into the sea.

With the weather having closed in totally, and night time approaching, I had time for a few photos and we headed back home.
